Alro Steel Corporation purchased an existing facility in late 2010 to add to their national operations. After taking occupancy of their newest location, Alro immediately began planning improvements to increase efficiency. As part of the interior modifications to change the direction of product flow through the warehouse, Alro desired to improve site access, employee parking, and truck circulation and staging.
After working with Alro through a feasibility and master planning process, SDC provided design and consultation services required to obtain a zoning variance for the proposed improvements. Subsequently, surveying and detailed design were completed and final land development plan approvals obtained. Alro now has a much-improved facility that allows them to keep up with customer demand.
