This Project included over 91,000 SF of building expansions in three (3) separate areas of CCM’s campus. Stormwater management designs for the expansions were exceptionally important due to significant Karst geology beneath the campus and the relatively flat grades across the Site. Infiltration rates needed to be carefully managed to reduce the risk of sink holes. To combat these issues, stormwater management plans included a stormwater pump station with three 75 horsepower pumps and a 24-inch diameter discharge line, stormwater management rate and volume/water quality control facilities, as well as numerous bio-retention facilities.
Other significant site design work included a new tractor trailer parking and staging area, replacement sanitary sewer pump station and a new electrical sub-station, new rail siding and material storage silos, as well as a new access drive onto Industrial Drive that altered the facility’s trucking logistics and was developed in conjunction with the adjacent Cumberland County property. Due to the significant size of this expansion, SDC consulted with CCM to provide campus-wide traffic planning to accommodate Campus facility modifications.
