A major fast food multi-unit operator / developer with franchises spanning the mid-Atlantic region engaged SDC to assist them in the design and permitting for their newest Popeye’s franchise to be located at the Lebanon Valley Mall in West Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, PA.

The 0.7 acre site had to be designed to accommodate the 2,265 sf restaurant, drive thru, dumpster and loading facilities, and required parking, as well as stormwater management facilities. Site constraints created due to the age and location of the existing pad site created significant obstacles and challenges. However, SDC was able to configure the building and parking to suit the stakeholders needs while meeting the local municipality’s requirements.

Additional site challenges included obtaining PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permits for two (2) access drives and utility connections. SDC’s design proposed a right in/right out low volume access drive onto Cumberland Street, a PennDOT maintained roadway. Utility connections were also required from Cumberland Street. SDC consulted with the developer, local regulatory agencies, as well as PennDOT to coordinate the required permits to keep the Project on schedule.
