Envisioned as an opportunity to extend outdoor recreation and dining in a rural community, Jimmy’s Place at Sickman’s Mill attracts thousands of visitors per day during the summer season. Over the past several years, it has become a community destination within Conestoga and Pequa Townships, as well as for the greater region.

SDC has collaborated with a landowner to plan and permit improvements to the historic Sickman’s Mill Property. Improvements included creating recreation access points to the Pequea Creek for tubers, several gathering spaces, and a bar and patio area. As the facility continues to grow, we are working with the owner to plan improvements and permit them within a Regulated Floodway and FEMA-defined floodplain.
