This hospital was a significant expansion to WellSpan’s Apple Hill Medical Center Campus. SDC was responsible for the design and development of outdoor rehabilitation facilities, including a healing garden with recreational features, as well as the Site’s landscape plan. These amenities included the design of active and passive healing features, including a golf putting green, half basketball court, hardscape and landscape features with varying tactile surfaces and elevations, seating areas, a covered vehicle parking area for rehab services, fountains, sitting walls, water gardens, and landscaped beds. Outdoor staff lounge and garden areas were also designed as part of this Project.
