Last week, SDC’s Tom Englerth, PLS presented to this year’s York County ACE Mentoring Program. Tom’s presentation focused on the description and role of land surveyors and civil engineers in a building project. After his presentation, Tom assisted the student breakout groups in siting their proposed buildings on a York County parcel of land depicted on an existing conditions plan. Tom, a former adjunct professor at HACC and PSU Mont Alto, stated after the presentation, “It is always a good feeling to be back in the classroom to assist the future designers of our industry, and based upon the students’ engagement tonight, the outlook of our industry is bright!”
