This week we were invited to present to the Thaddeus Stevens Architectural Technology Studio as an introduction to their Masterplanning exercise. The studio has traditionally focused on the development of a parcel on Keller Avenue in Manheim Township with the goal of teaching students the planning process as they model a mixed-use district. With the adoption of the Train Station Small Area Plan by Manheim Township and the City of Lancaster, we partnered with Mike Domin, Principal Planner at the Lancaster County Planning Department, and Ben Lesher, President of Parcel B Development Company, to review the concept for the Train Station Area, The Yards development, and review general principles of land planning as the studio kicks off.
